Business Development officer

Job Responsibilities:

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and collecting valuable market data through on-field marketing activities. This role involves extensive travel and face-to-face interactions with prospects in the commercial office interior design and contracting sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities through field marketing activities, networking, and market research.
  • Conduct cold visits to potential clients, including offices, commercial buildings, and business parks, to introduce our services and gather information.
  • Build & maintain strong relationships with prospective & existing clients.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with leads to nurture relationships& move them through the sales funnel.
  • Schedule & attend meetings with potential clients to understand their needs and present our solutions.
  • Collect & analyze market data, including information on potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of potential leads, contacts, and client information.
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing proposals, presentations, & contracts.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for lead generation & client acquisition.
  • Provide feedback on market trends, client needs, and competitor activities to inform business strategy.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the company & generate leads.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts within the commercial office interior design & contracting industry.
  • Prepare & submit regular reports on field marketing activities, lead generation, and sales performance.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities.

Qualifications:

  • MBA in Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or field marketing, preferably in the commercial office interior design or contracting industry. Freshers who have completed an MBA can also apply.
  • Strong organizational skills & attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for field marketing activities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Good communication skills in English
  • Ability to create and deliver effective sales presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PPT
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
